◆When did you start drawing?
Pretty much as soon as I discovered pencil + paper = pictures as a small child xD
I started drawing more manga-style about 10 years ago.

◆Which hand do you use for drawing?
Either! I'm ambidextrous My left hand's a little weaker, but it doesn't get as much practise.

◆Which is easier to draw - male or female?
I find males a little easier to draw in full-body, and females as headshots. I've been working on trying to fix that, though, considering my characters are pretty evenly split.

◆Which is easier to draw - long hair or short hair?
I actually like drawing both. I like the flowy lines of long hair, but short hair takes less time for me.

◆Is it easier to draw the head facing towards the right or the left?
Right facing, definitely. If I want to draw left-facing i have to flip the paper over and draw it right-facing first.

◆Is it easier to draw the side view of the face or the front view?
Front view ;; I'm not great at symmetry, but my side-views are even worse.

◆What do you have problems in drawing?
...How much time do you have? xD Hands and feet are my weakest points, then usually upper bodies/arms.

◆What do you like to draw?
I love drawing my characters in relaxed poses. Their written lives tend to be full of drama in one way or another, so I like to give them a rest when I draw them. Drawing relaxing images tends to relax me as well.

◆Are you a traditional artist or a digital artist?
A bit of both, although my gallery shows more of my digital art. I never seem to get round to finishing traditional art off to a standard I'd like to show, and even when I do I usually just forget to scan it in It's a bit ridiculous considering the sheer volume of traditional art supplies I have.

◆Where do you start drawing from?
Usually the head, once that's sketched in I work down. Occasionally if I want to try a certain pose I'll sketch in the body base first, though.

◆What is your drawing habit that you are aware of?
I never finish anything ever aaagggghhh

◆Any tips for coloring/shading?
Know where your light source is first!

◆How long does it take to finish a piece of art?
Years? xD If I actually work on something properly and finish it, a few weeks. I'm slooow.

◆What music do you listen to while you draw?
Usually cheesy/80s/90s songs I've vaguely associated with the characters in the image. If I don't have any, it's often whatever Japanese band I'm into at the time.

◆How long does it take you to come up with an idea?
I honestly don't know. I have a notebook filled with ideas I'd like to get round to drawing, but I don't like sitting down with paper and forcing an idea. It doesn't work for me at all.
Not that the pictures I draw are particularly dynamic. xD

◆Your favorite drawing utensils?
My 0.4 mechanical pencil. 0.5 always seems too thick and 0.3 is for fine detail. I prefer WHSmith's own brand sketching pads for paper.

◆Your favorite color/the color that you use a lot?
It's not really my favourite colour (that's purple), but I use a lot of blues.

◆Your favorite style(s)?
Currently it's Kozue Amano and Kaoru Mori. They both have this wonderful way of drawing things so simply yet so detailed at the same time.

◆What kind of artist are you aiming for?
I honestly don't know. I want a balance between manga-style and realistic-style drawing without it looking too generic. My art's waaaay too generic-looking right now ;;
